The Pet Wellness Waggin’ is a mobile veterinary unit outfitted with an exam room and a surgical suite. It’s a program provided thanks in part to the Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) and PetSmart Charities.

The program, which is available to residents of Dorchester, Mattapan and Roxbury, will provide a care package to cats and dogs for $10. All dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in a carrier.

The service includes a physical exam, a rabies vaccine, a distemper vaccine, a flea treatment and a microchip. The program does not provide emergency treatment.

On Mondays, the service can be found at the ABCD Roxbury at 565 Warren St., and on Wednesdays, the service can be found at the ABCD Dorchester at 110 Claybourne St.

Appointments are strongly encouraged and people can sign up on the program’s website or call (857) 350-8720.
