Syvalia Hyman, III serves in a Neighborhood Sector seat representing the Roxbury/North Dorchester area on the Roxbury/North Dorchester Neighborhood Opportunity Center (NOC) Advisory Board. Hyman is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the United South End/ Lower Roxbury Development Corporation (UDC). He has lead in real estate development projects such as site selection, selection management and coordination of legal counsel architects and financial planning and analysis. Hyman majored in social studies and management at Northeastern University and completed coursework in Political Economics in the Goddard College, Master of Arts graduate program.
Hyman joined the ABCD Board of Directors in 1972 for four years and rejoined in 2000. He is a member of the ABCD Executive Committee as former Board Chair and serves as a member of the Finance Committee and the Personnel Advisory Committee.
